I suggest for beggingers... I don't know, there are so tips.

First, finish the offline campain. Try use variations of equipment and detect what you like more, what is more effective for you. This is make you more confortable with type of armory, some tatics, movements and maps that you use on multiplayer after.

On multiplayer: beginners are beginners. You ARE died a lot, fact. So go slow, get upgrading, understand the objetive of each type of game (Conquest, Rush, Rush Squad and Squad Deathmach). On BF, killing are not always 1st goal, but TEAMWORK. Don't begin with snipe; don't camping. Try assault or medic. On assault of medic, deposit ammo and medic kit for your team. Don't shoot, unless you think this is going to be effective (don't do ramdom shoot, unless you get discract enemy and call you attention). Mark all enemies/vehicles you see (Q key). Don't get vehicles until you get habilities to drive it.

You either can looking for servers with "noob" on title to pratice without more consequences, or players hating you :) rss

You can training several thinkgs on maps with few of no players, like drive tanks, shooting practice, effective of guns about some vehicles (ex. fire with you conventional gun not affects tanks of helis).

Post your doubts and we try to explain.

I would try to see if there is a server for new players, when the game came out there were quite a few that actually banned players who were higher than a certain level, so a new player server for 1-25 and bans anything higher would be a good starting point, if they are still around. Get into a squad, if you can, add a couple other players who play often and also use Vent, Teamspeak, or Skype, talking to squad mates is a lot easier than typing to them. Don't lone wolf it, although there are times where you could possibly mow down 5-10 guys on your own, that doesn't happen to often cause the maps are larger than a typical CoD map, so it is better to just stick with your squadmates.

Ok thank you guys! but how do i do that?

I pressed Q on Vehicles and nothing happens
It's finicky. Keep pressing the key, it'll pop eventually. The Xbox version has the same problem.
Alexo 11. Feb. 2013 um 12:33
Use "Q" whem you see enemy. Aim him and all your teammate go alert about this mark on map (enemie appears on red).

Ah, you only can mark vehicles with enemies inside, ok? Empty vehicles go nothing really.

Practice. It's that simple and no I am not trolling and yes that is all you need to know. The one thing that will DRASTICALLY improve your play is if you find a good, micd up squad. If you can find one or make one with your friends, you will OWN the solos 90 percent of the time

one tip i find useful is to keep moving. staying still for to long will end up in death pretty much 100% of the time
Burst Fire and if your computer isn't all that new or doesnt have the recommended settings set it down to low for graphic quality/

those 2 settings really help for landing shots and reducing lag
Alexo 16. Feb. 2013 um 12:40
About keep moving, this is one basic thing, to difficult aiming. But, sometimes you need to stay like a statue, for better camuflate. Its more easy to locate enemies moving in middle of trees etc. They dont walking, but keep looking arroud yourself and this not helps to hide.

THIS VERY MUCH. ESPECIALLY AS A SNIPER. If you snipe me, you can bet I will sacrifice myself to make sure I pay it back in someway or another, even if it is a 5 minute work to get to you and knife you.

Also, you are just not going to do well for a few hours until you get the hang of the game. Being a rambo, running into enemy lines doesn't work unless you are really good at the game. Then again, sometimes a reall bawllsy move can pay off.

A big part of doing well is anticipation, once you get to know the maps fairly well there is always the other rookies or bad players that all seem to use the same hiding spots, paths, and buildings. but the opposite is also true. Basically, hiding spots that seem useful, but everyone uses is not safe. But the funny thing is is that hiding in a spot NO ONE uses cause its so blatantly stupid, is often a good spot to hide. I know of many really dumb places no one would think to hide or engage the enemy and they work beautifully.

so, A big part of doing well is being clever enough to see how individual rounds are being played, and try something different, or trying something the players don't seem ready for.

TEAMWORK. It's the internet. Many times helping your team will go unappreciated, simply move on if someone doesn't apreciate your help. When you find the players that will in turn help you out.... well, finding a few players that reciprocate help will end up you working with a squad of 4 that gives the entire enemy team of 32 an absolute nightmare of a time.

speaking of Teamwork. find friends to play with, IRL friends or on Steam, and use voice chat. Its really handy to have a friend help you when you are pinned down or help identify the location of an enemy. Sadly BC2 in-game vocie chat doesn't work.

Also, keep an eye on the minimap. If there isn't at least one guy behind you, your back isn't safe, you shouldn't stay in that spot.

NEVER specialize in one kit or perk. Being a good engineer but bad sniper leaves you with a severe weakness; always be prepared to switch kits after a death.

As you unlock guns, try to get to know them. There are a few guns that everyone loves, but it's possible to find a gun that justs suits you. For example, the Medic MG36 is a favorite of most players, but i can't stand that gun.

A few pointers to not be hated:

Be mindful of snipers, when they call artillery, don't get in the way.

If you are a medic, PAY ATTENTION and see if it is safe before you revive players. Reviving them in gunfire is only aggravating and a scumbag thing to do. If you revive, and they die again, BE CERTAIN it's safe before revive again, or it's just better to let them stay dead.

If you are in a tank as the Machine Gunner DO NOT FIRE ON VEHICLES ESPECIALLY ENEMY HELICOPTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All that will do is give the enemy vehicles a line of bullets to follow back to your tank. You are giving the position away and inviting armor rounds and missiles to come visit you to death.

If you are Assault, PAY ATTENTION TO the mini map.... If you see a little bullet icon flashing, someone is asking for ammo, give it to them (once you unlock it) Feel free to drop the ammo crate often, it free points.

As a Sniper, USE YOUR MOTION MINES PLEAAAAAASE (once you unlock them) free points and REALLLY helps your team, even if you are sniping from a remote place.

EDIT: This is important also: If you see a player using the gun on a car or boat and the car or boat is just sitting there without a driver, that means that that player is using the heavy gun on the vehicle as a gun platform, DO NOT get in and just start driving the vehicle. that is just a really rat bastard thing to do. The player DROVE that vehicle there and setup suppressive fire, please don't take the vehicle and run it into a futile firefight.

That being said, yes there are people that hoard vehicles, especially tanks. Parking a tank out in the middle of nowhere just for the kills is unacceptable. Tank, and choppers should be in the fight, but a boat or light vehicles can be used as suppressive, long range support. Don't take them from a player using the vehicle. But feel free to take a TANK that some jerk is parking in the back of the uncap for kills.

EDIT2: as you unlock them, make sure you use your perks wisely. personally, I find most of the perks useless except for SCOPE for sniper, Magnum rounds (almost always) for any perk, and sometimes lightweight pack in infantry fights.

The explosives bandolier (more explosive weapon count) and explosive damage are onyl for Engineer or if you are running a C4 setup with the C4 being the primary purpose of your load out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THis my be helpful, but not really vital:

The "DLC" SPECACT KIT is a bullcarp money grab by EA, but it is INSANELY handy. It gives you a second version of your 4 kits. The game gives you a total of 8 loadouts that are saved. SO you can switch between ASSSAULT and ASSAULT SA with your customized loadouts, with ease.

What I do is I have my 4 kits setup to fight: ASSAULT, MEDIC, ENGINEER, and SNIPER.
All with their standard weapons. I then use my specact setups:ASSAULT SA, MEDIC SA, ENGINEER SA, and SNIPER SA, as alternatives.

SO this is what I have

ASSAULT:
assault class gun
40mm Smoke or Shotgun (dont underestimate the smoke's tactical use like most people do)
PERK-Magnum Rounds
PERK-Lightwieght Pack

MEDIC
Medic class gun
PERK-Magnum Rounds
PERK-Lightweight Pack

ENGINEER
Engineer class gun
PERK-Magnum Rounds
PERK-Lightweight Pack

SNIPER
sniper class gun
PERK-Magnum Rounds
PERK-Lightweight Pack

ASSAULT SA
Shotgun or multi-class weapon (which enables C4 use with the Assault SA class)
PERK-Extra explosive rounds
PERK-extra explosive damage
This sets me up with near unlimited C4, and if you get good at throwing C4 long distances, you can dominate a map like OASIS or ARICA. Or you can be useful against vehicles, unlike regular assault, all while resupplying your Engineers.

MEDIC SA:
medic class gun
PERK-Body Armor
PERK- (anything=medic pack, lightwieght,etc)
Gives you more armor if you are being a true medic/support

ENGINEER SA:
Engineer class weapon
PERK-Extra explosive rounds
PERK-extra explosive damage
You lose on gun fire power, but if you are in an on foot Vs. vehicle battle, you can be much more lethal

SNIPER SA:
SHOTGUN
PERK-Extra explosive rounds
PERK-extra explosive damage
You are no longer a sniper, you are now a close quarters UAV that can destroy walls and vehicles at your choosing while mowing down troops with your shotgun. GREAT for ARICA HARBOR, OASIS, or other heavy infantry type maps.

SO now that I have all 8 loadouts, If I die I don't have to sit and customize my kit to repsond to a threat, which wastes time. If I was running as a long range sniper and died, I can respawn at that flag that is under attack by two enemy tanks and take them out with my C4, while killing anyone who bails out of the tank, with my shotgun.

I didn't risk losing the flag while setting up my kit, I just switched to SA and spawned, ruinated faces, and walked away like rambo.

And to brag/prove my credentials, I kinda know what I am doing :P

good points there ...although i disagree with not shooting tank MG at helicopters
u should be shooting helicopters with that machine gun

Agreed. Or "minigun" as a pilot. Works great.

Why? it does not do a lot of damage. However, it almost ALWAYS draws the attention of the enemy chopper, who then comes and volleys you a few times and destroys the tank. In the end it's they get two kills or at least a vehicle kill and just go hide and repair, and continue on with their chopper assault.

The advantage of shooting the chopper with the tank's machine gun is maybe, MAYBE, a vehicle kill assist if you are lucky.

At very least, if you are going to do shoot the chopper with the machine gun, make sure at first that the tank driver isnt capable of neutralizing choppers with his/her tank's main gun. I am pretty good at shooting choppers down with the tank's main gun from across the map, behind a hill and through some trees.

One of my, if not my biggest pet peeve in BC2 is trying to bullseye choppers but having my machine gun passenger drawing choppers to us and the chopper does a retalitory manuever high enough to be above the tank main gun's vertical range, which leads to my passenger's and my death.

Yes. The vehicle perks are handy when doing this. For the longest time I used the "ALT V" perk which gives you an alternate fire mode. ALT V is handy for chopper passengers, and for Tank drivers, it gives the tank drivers an alternate machine gun along side the main cannon. However, the other perk "Improved Warheads" (or whatever it's called, the 'Fist' perk) is MUCH better for tanks. You lose the machine gun but your tank rounds do at least 10% more damage, which is often CRUCIAL to winning a Tank Vs. Tank firefight.

Improved Warheads are even better for chopper passengers. The difference between a chopper passenger's damage from vanilla to Improved Warheads is extremely different. Improved Warheads turn your gun of a damaging threat into a complete slaughter. I can go on 20+ kill streaks in BC2:Vietnam with the Huey's side mounted machine guns, if I have IMPROVED WARHEADS vehicle perk selected. The same can be said with the chopper passenger's gun in Atamaca Desert. The onyl difference is that in Vietnam there is no Anti-Air emplacements, which gives you greater dominance over the battlefield. However, in regular BC2, you lose the copper's tracer dart ability. SO know your pilot's capabilities.... is he/she good at firing guided rockets? then you might want ALT V. If your pilot wants you to be his/her kill machine, go with Improved Warheads.

Speaking of which, the Tank's Tracks and rear are much weaker than the front or dome of the tank, try to aim there. And if you are in a tank, orient your tank so only the front of the tank faces your biggest threat.
