Screen freeze + buzzing sound issue help!!
After about 5-20 min of gameplay in multiplayer screen just suddenly freezes and theres a buzzing sound coming from the speakers. It's not because of overheating or anything like that caise i have i5 CPU and GTX 570 graphics card and i can run more demanding games than this. Any idea about what this is and how to solve it?

Its a realtek driver conflicting with punkbuster, I had to use another soundboard to stop it freezing

Google Slimdrivers and use that program. You most likely have out dated drivers.

Edit: Slimdrivers is Microsoft certified, just make sure you do a custom install if you do not want the AVG browser toolbar

I have this same problem, and it doesnt happen on servers where punkbuster is disabled. I disabling my realtek device but it still happens. I also updated punkbuster, still happens. Any other things I can do?

A driver is most likely outdated try Slimdrivers to find out what

Same thing was happening to me, I just disabled onboard sound in bios and now i play it silently until i can fix it with another soundboard or maybe a driver fix? this error looks to be sound/punkbuster related, some sort of conflict.

Im pretty sure its an outdated realtek driver conflicting with punkbuster, Im usually pretty on it when it comes to keeping drivers updated but realtek slipped past me took me a couple weeks to figure it out. Also I was having problems with every other punkbuster enabled games like Rising Sun, Red Orc, Blacklight Retrbution, Bf3, etc, now they all work! I also had a few Usb drivers were outdated I am pretty sure they were not the issue but I did update them along with my realtek driver so they could be a culprit to.

Also if you guys get any "Error 9005 loss of packets" you may need to prioritize both punkbusters processes to high through task manager

try: manually update PunkBuster (http://www.punkbuster.com/index.php?page=dl-bc2.php),
set high priority to PunkBuster in task manager,
and lower format in audio device (16bit-DVD quality)
WORKS FOR ME!!
