BF2 Bad Company - Unable to look arround with the mouse 09.03.2014
I can navigate the menus fine and in the multiplayer game I can change weapon, mele attack etc, but cannot look around with the mouse. BF3 works perfectly fine.

I have tried copying in:-
jabberwocky.txt
pitoni.txt

into the game directory, but no joy. I then found my retail copy of the game and installed it onto a fresh install of Windows on another HDD and the issue remains. I then removed the two text files above and updated the game via Origin and the same. In the single player game, i can only Melee attack with the mouse. I have looked at all the mouse settings and enabled and disabled them. I have turned detail levels to the minimum, as i was clutching at straws. I have tralled through Origin's forums and none of the reconmended fixes resolve the issue.

On a plus note, the game runs really sweet and everything is maxed out. If only it didn't play like the original Doom with no mouse look, that would be great! Anyone have any suggestions???

I have found the solution to my particular problem and ironically, it was very simple. I deleted the BFBC2 folder from "my documents". I then went back into the game and found all my settings were restored to default, i then noticed next to the keyboard settings of forward, back, left and right, there are also entries for X Y axis of the mouse. For example when you move the mouse forward, back, left and right, this is illustrated by corresponding entries in the mouse section.

I have a Razer Deathadder 2013 edition, which is so sensitive that whilst changing the entries for reload, melee etc, it inadvertantly removed the entries in the mouse section. Thus I could move with the keyboard, but the game did not record the mouse movement. This is not imediatly obvious, as the entries are viewed by scrolling down the page.
