Most days, there are at least 50-100 players around. EU servers are usually the most active, with the NA region being served predominantly by FWF, a Hardcore Mixed maps server.
Stay away from the RaS Clan server, though. Among Bad Company 2 players, it is an especially hated clan and server for being unnecessarily gameplay-restricting in its custom rules.
Though, uh, do remember to re-add the game to PunkBuster's PBSetup, and make sure that the latest version of PBSVC is installed from Even Balance, Inc.'s website as good measure. One would not want to get autokicked for not having that ready up front as some still are.
The Vietnam expansion experienced playerbase death long before now, in no small part due to it being DLC and the inconvenience of sharing the class slots as the main game, to where main game loadouts would be reset to default if customized in the BC2 Vietnam session.
It's interesting how such a "small" feature can kill a game. It literally made me stop playing the DLC.
Sad though as the DLC legit was a fun edition, but the hassle outweighed the fun.
