Onslaught Co-op Mode?
There was something on the console Ultimate Edition version of this title called Onslaught, a 4-player co-operative mode. Does this or any PC version have it?

It isn't mentioned in the features on the Store Page, so I'm not sure. Often PC ports/versions of games on Steam have all the previously-released content, but given that it's EA I fear they've held something back. Let me know if anyone can confirm for sure, so I know previous to maybe buying it today; thanks!

NO.
Because they want you to spend money on map packs, not play single player content.

Regardless of their payment model philosophy, the content _was_ created, and _does_ exist. What I want to know is if that specific content made it to the PC platform, or if (which seems rare to me) the console version has an entire mode or so exclusive to it.

I did see the capitals 'NO'; I'm just clarifying at this point, and hoping for another confirmation.

There used to be bot support for all Battlefield games, until they decided to capitalize on profitability with map packs.
If you actually want to have a fun coop experience, try putting a couple hundred hours into learning how to play ARMA 3. It is possible in that game, but it isn't easy to get started.

For my money, the best thing you can do is to NEVER buy another EA game, until they get the point that people want to have fun playing their games, not get screwed for money and a worse product than was offered back since Battle Field 1942.

The Devs got lazy and didn't port Onslaught to PC.
^this. Onslaught was programmed for the peer-to-peer networking of xbox live and PSN. They never redid the netcode for a client / server hosting situation (which is really a shame).

There is a small glitter of hope though! There's a guy on the emulator nexus forums who has managed to get AI to show up on multiplayer maps. He was talking about how they actually flanked him. He was working on reconstructing the AI paths from the xbox version of Onslaught. I don't know what became of that, but it looked promising at the time.

To be clear though, there is no onslaught mode in vanilla BC2 on PC.

Thank you, APMalware; that's concisely what I needed to know.

And that's very interesting and informative, Donut! Unfortunately, I've had poor experience and so mostly stayed away from mod-type community products -- even really mainstream stuff like Terraria servers and Day Z (solely for which I purchased Arma II) don't seem to function properly when I try them myself. Whether its a Killing Floor skin or a Skyrim spellset, I can't seem to get any mod up-and-running on my more-than-capable machine, no matter how much of a dream-come-true the content is or how simple the integration looks at a glance, without having to troubleshoot for normally around four to six hours. :(

("Lazy Devs": thanks for explaining the real reasoning behind decisions made at EA GAMES CORPORTATION.)

When there is no one playing the BFBC2 Vietnam maps anymore,
you aren't going to play Onslaught Mode.

If you want to do anything, you can buy a new map pack for BF4 or Hardline, and play there.
CHa-Ching!
