Redeem Codes (In general)

I'm thinking of getting this on PC and I;m leaning to get it on Origin for £14.99 which includes the Vietnam DLC, and I heard that some one bought a copy on steam and redeemed in on Origin (cus its and EA game ofcourse), I'm just wondering, does it work the other way round? cus I found the product key for my Origin copy of battlefieled 3 in its information page
Has anyone tried it this way round?

Edit: For me I couldn't get the origin codes to activate my a steam copy so I'm just gonna leave this discussion up for discussion on things related to redeem codes (why not). Who knows, someone might have actually gotten a copy from using the origin product code...

If you bought it on either Origin or Steam, you should have a copy in each of your library. Both platforms shares the same EA account that you need to log in to play. I bought mine on steam years ago, but when my Origin account recently converted to a EA account, a free copy turned up in my Origin library as well other EA games that requires a log in. I'm not sure whether that is true with EA games purchased on Origin, but I would recommend you get it on steam instead when it's at it's usual discounted price of $5 during seasonal sales.

thanks for the reply mate, yeah was thinking that, also does Origin share multiplayer with steam? (like playing with friends online who would have and Origin copy?)

All versions of BFBC2 play on the same servers.

Well guys, I bought it on origin, and unfortunatley it doesn't work (as in getting a steam copy from the origin key), well for me at least.

I'll keep the discussion up for those who may have gotten a copy through the origin route, or just for people who want to talk about redeem codes...cus why not

:D i have new problem :D When i turn on the game will appear white screen and the game is not working -_-
