You can still play MP using project rome.

Project rome is a community made client to continue playing the game after the shutdown.

It also solved the serial key issues for steam players.

Before the shutdown: around 1 full server and another half full server (both were likely not Vietnam)

After the shutdown: around 1-3 full servers and at least 1 half full server (one of the most populated servers right now is a Vietnam 24/7 server)

Note: the populated Vietnam servers are under the normal server browser, not the Vietnam one.
