Bad Company 2 Alt Servers/Rank Transfer - Post-Shutdown

*IT'S OFFICIAL: BC2 EA SERVERS HAVE CEASED OPERATION AS OF 5PM ET 12/8/23*

Many are not aware that while BC2 will die a sad death on console, the PC version will live on via Project Rome. It is essentially alternate servers that will ensure Bad Company 2 lives on forever and does not rely on EA. See the links below for more information on getting this set up. RIP to Bad Company 1 and Battlefield 1943 which will be lost to time on 360 and PS3! It is as simple as placing the .dll file in your BC2 folder and registering for an account at https://veniceunleashed.net/signup to use for login in-game. Cheers!

Base Bad Company 2 and BC2: Vietnam DLC are supported, however it is up to the community to spin up more servers! Project Rome supports Steam, EA, and "Free" Versions.

you don't have to own it to play on Project Rome, EA doesn't deserve money for a game they're about to kill. get a physical copy from ebay.

for project rome you don't have to own it but get your origin copy they owe you one

I hope they go the Plutonium route and have a proper client and torrent for the game and dlc. EA ain't getting my money for shutting down the multiplayer and having to troubleshoot support for a damn CD key.

actually it's a lot simpler, you create an account in their website then you download a small DLL file then put it into the game folder then launch the game an log in and search for the server there's no need for a launcher. DLCs are already supported
