Serial Key - Steam EA Play

I recently installed BadCo 2 via EA Play on steam, where it is free. When I went in-game though, I couldn't launch Multiplayer (not that I even expected there to be servers), it asked me to log in with EA Account, which I did, but then it asked for a Serial Key, which I cannot find.

There seems to be no Serial Key on the steam app, where it would usually be. Steam support said that the game does not include a Serial Key and it should not be required to play the game, which is just false as it asked me for it in-game.

EA Support said they wouldn't be able to verify my steam transaction, even though I sent them a picture of my transaction ID for Bad Company. They said they would not be able to help me even though I gave them all the information I had. I was not sent an email receipt, as the game was free via EA Play.

I do not know what to do to obtain my serial key information.

Additionally, Origin does not seem to launch when I play the game, which seems strange. (Yes. I have Origin installed)

This is last Battlefield game on pc without Origin client and first one with EA account. Battlefield 3 is first of the series which needs Origin client to launch on pc.

I also own the game as disc version (pre purchased limited edition back in 2010). Game never needed Origin to launch. It has some small updater software and in game asked to login to EA account with cd key, if wanted to play multiplayer.

Only solution to buy Origin version or buy new sealed copy of BF:BC2 on a disc.

You don't need to buy ♥♥♥♥, just ask EA Support for a key and if you get someone who isn't completely incompetent they'll give it to you.

you are dumb, Help EA agents can only give you the game on Origin if you provide proof of purchase, they wont give you keys.

activating the game is the same result as getting a key to activate it. its just that steam doesnt give you the key

Yeah which means it's activated on your EA account and you can go play it, if you need to access the key right click properties on Origin will show you.

yeah but it doesnt if you get the game from EA Play.... which, in that case, steam does not give you the key, and for some reason, the game doesn't get added immediately to your Origin. I had to contact EA Support, and they (after some verification) added it to origin and activated the previously locked features (multiplayer)

same here.. no access to Vietnam dlc, although i bought it totally legit on steam..
