FPS PROBLEMS- GPU USAGE
It's been a while that I bought BFBC2 and since then I'm having FPS problems. If I use Direct X 10 or 11 my GPU usage stays at 50/60%, my performarce gets really bad (40- 60 FPS and lagging a lot) and Idk how I can increase its usage. The problem is not my CPU ( it stays at 60/70% ) and I've already updated all my drivers.
If I change to Direct X 9, I get way more frames ( 90/110 FPS ) and my GPU increases a lot its usage, but there are less graphic options and resources so the game doesn't like that good.

Does anyone know how to get a better performance and increase the GPU usage playing on Direct X 10 or 11? I've seen a lot of old topics reporting the same problems, but I haven't found a solution.

SRRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH, I'M BRAZILIAN

Your English is fine, and I commend you for typing this much in it in spite of not being fully fluent. Your learning of it has paid off, and will continue to if you keep it up.

FIrstly, what is your PC's specs, and what settings are you trying to run the game at apart from changing the DXVersion setting? That may help determine the cause of FPS and GPU usage difference between DirectX 9 and 10/11.

CPU: I5-6400
Motherboard: Gigabyte 110M
GPU: GTX 1060 (3Gb)
RAM: 8Gb

I have a PC (with an i5-6400 and GTX 1060 6Gb) and I don't have problems to run the game. But during this quarentine, I had some issues with it and I decided to use my laptop (i7-4500u/ 8Gb RAM/ Gt 750m 4Gb) to finish the campain. It is definitely not for gaming, but I remember playing it in 2014/2015 and I didn't have any problems. I also get a better performance playing BF3 than BFBC2. I'm not expecting good graphics in a low-end laptop, so I put a Low-Medium config, but I don't as much frames I used to. If I put everything on low and reduce the resolution, I get a similar performance, but the GPU and CPU usage reduces.

Hmm...Has the laptop been updated to a newer version of Windows since 2014-15, or has nothing that drastic changed bar driver updates and a few other things that may have bloated the system since then?

As for the comparison between BF3 and BFBC2, I can understand why BF3 would be the better-performing one. Frostbite 2(BF3's engine version) apparently only uses DirectX 11, was 64-bit, and introduced CPU parallelization for up to 8 processing threads, of which the latter two are performance improvements BC2 never had. This may influence the results you are seeing in comparing the two.

For now, I want to start with some minor fixes to attempt to stabilize the system. Provided the laptop is not thermal throttling under load(which I suspect anyway), these may help.

Firstly, go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Power Options, and Choose what the Power Buttons do. Enable "Change settings that are currently unavailable," and disable the Turn on Fast Startup setting. While not a fix for the game, from what I understand of it, disabling this will ensure your PC will always fully power off on shutdown and cold boot, rather than enter Hibernate mode without you knowing. Good for general stability, at the cost of longer initial bootup times.

Secondly, in-game, always make sure HBAO and MSAA are disabled. Always. These are the most graphically intensive settings. To disable them outside of the config file, select Options, Video, and set Overall Quality to Advanced to enable the custom settings menu. Set MSAA to 1x to disable it, and set HBAO to Off.

These will be the first possible fix suggestions for now. If these do not help much, please let me know, and I will suggest further measures to look into.

Best of luck to you.
