False/Weird Global PunkBuster GUID Ban

Hey all,

I've been playing BF2 BC2 on & off ever since a friend gifted it to me.
About a week ago I joined "Old Men Gaming" & got greeted by this message.
Warning me of a Global GUID Ban?
My question is, could this happen if you play on 15x servers or if you run overlays/recording software (GeForce Experience, Overwolf/etc)

I recall playing on multiple of those "XP Servers" as they were running maps I liked and had a good amount of players .. and to be fair the 15x was a nice bonus.
However I haven't found anyone else who had this issue.

Weirdest of all, I can still join some PunkBuster enabled servers; even though others just instantly kick me.
I've contacted EvenBalance to no avail, I'm sure they'll reply but I wanted to hear if I'm alone on this or not.

TL;DR
- Anyone who knows if it is possible to trigger PB without cheating? (Overlays or something, I ran Overwolf/Discord's Overlay & often the GeForce Experience capture software)

- Could it be those xTimesXP servers?

- Is there any way to get rid of this ban, as I (from my point of view) didn't do anything against the rules. (I contacted EB and I'm waiting for a reply, maybe that's the only way; just asking.)


Well that's it, if you can give me some information that'd be hugely appriciated!

And if you reply with "Serves you well cheater" I can't blame you for doubting some random chap on the internet making this argument.
