Loved Bad Company 2 , question i have dvd retail version

If i install the game retail version can i play it on steam or do i just load up the game and go multiplayer? Are there still servers ?

doesnt matter what version of the game, we all play on the same servers, ingame login is EA/origin

Why do you want to play it on Steam when you have disc copy of the game? If you have original disc copy simply install the game and play it, you do not need Steam to play the game when you have a disc version. During installation you will have to choose between 2 options. To load the game from disc or without disc, i always chose the non-disc option.
