Punkbuster not working?

ok, so this is the 2nd time that i've bought bfbc2, everytime I go on to multiplayer, it tells me that I need to have punkbuster installed and running to join servers with punkbuster enabled. OK WTF! I've installed the game atleast 20 times over, and i've installed punkbuster, and I've seen it running, but battlefeild says I dont have it, anybody know the reason why?

I'm on 64 bit Windows 10 By the way

Go into your BC2 directory in your steam folder and find the PB folder. Open and reinstall. Open your task manager and check if Punkbuster A and B are running. Go to evenbalanced dot com or google Punkbuster update. Download the tool, add BC2 and update.

I did that, multipule times, and it keeps saying that I dont have it installed/running. I've checked the task manager, and both A and B were running at the time

Changed the punkbuster setting in

C:\Users<userprofile>\Documents\BFBC2\GameSetting s.ini from 0 to 1.

You should be able log on to Punkbuster protected servers

Note: Razer softwares are known to have issues with Punkbuster.

Also your firewall could be preventing PB from communicating with their servers. Since punkbuster isn't integrated with whatever game it is you are playing, it starts its own connection and as such is usually blocked by firewalls that think it's an attack.

what setting i must turn it to 1 because i have the same problem

Obox, go into your gamesettings.ini its in your BFBC2 folder (which is in your documents folder) once your inside gamesettings.ini do Cntrl + F and search for punkbuster, if it says 0 next to punkbuster, change it to 1. save the file, then start battlefield, it will be fixed.

my bfbc2 is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and none of these solutions have fixed it

Punkbuster problems

You may not be having the same problem as me, but when I got this problem:
RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed.

-> or any punkbuster problem, the below solution works for me (don't know if it will for you)
Download this:

Restart the PC, and run pbsvc.exe

(also for me, I discovered that certain versions Razer Cortex (may include other programs/antivirus as well?) crashes punkbuster
