At least half of the times, people that have been stuck, reply that they completed it, and changed their mind.
But yes, there are also some players that give up on it.
A technique that I personally use to beat Faradeus, is to jump off the edge when the egg bombs chase me, and blink back onto the platform. That way, the bombs don't blow up any of the bridges that could save me later in the bossfight.
Also, every time I need to blink through stuff that Faradeus has sent towards me, I make a small jump towards it. I feel it's easier to get the proper blink timing that way, and it makes sure the blink doesn't end too short because I hit the ground or something.
Good luck to you, if you decide to give it another try!
Maybe try that as a last resort?
Don't get me wrong, i'm thankful for the help here, And i think that the game is very good in general. Now i can finally go back to the other, fun, parts of the game. I hope there aren't many more of those guys out there.
This is a puzzle platformer... It has elements from both genre. It's not just a puzzle game.
And alright, I'll bite. I didn't have too much trouble with the bosses. They served as a challenge, and refreshingly so, but nowhere did the thought cross my mind, "Alright, this boss is impossible," like other games commonly do whose main focus is its difficulty (eg. Super Meat Boy, Dustforce). I think you are just overreacting to the fact that you could not beat it on your first try.
Also this post might come off as a bit imposing because of the caps but just replace those with italics, since Steam forums have no such function.
Maybe you (devs) should reconsider the genre for the next time. A puzzle game doesn't need bosses like this (see Braid) and for a real challenging platformer, the gameplay, controls and bosses didn't match.
On the eye right now, I've found he has more then one form, I die to anything. So now I'm trying to save vs rage quit. Not shure about the outcome.
The problem is in knowing what edits would let me skip which boss.
It's worth doing once, though.
Honestly the worst thing about the game to me was needing 15 scrolls (I think it was 15?) in order to beat the game. Up until you get to the part that indicates this, scrolls just look like some optional thing, and if you're passing on most of them because you think "I just want to get through this", you get the tail end of the game to realize you now need to backtrack and collect more of those things you passed on, because the game made no effort to convey their importance to you until you were almost done the game. It's something I haven't really seen in games since the early days, it's a crappy way to pad things out and the lack of explanation is inexcusable.
I'm stuck on the second boss fight. Once you figure out that you need to jump inside it, there is nothing left to figure out in the fight.
Instead, it's just a matter of me pushing through until I get lucky. Because with the timing this boss requires, it is going to be a matter of luck at me getting through. Luck that I hit blick at the exact right moment on the bomb bots. Not too soon and blinking into the bot, not too late and having the bot turn around and come for me.
If I wanted that kind of gameplay, I'd go play a game that has that difficulty all the time. Because the easy parts in Teslagrad would be boring.
