Not enough money to extend any contracts?

This must be a bug, I cannot extend any rider contracts, it is August 1st and I can't open any talks with any riders because my current bank balance is negative.

In PCM23 the bank balance never mattered for anything so the -15.000$ didn't worry me but I assumed there's a new budget for the next year that will determine if I can extend contracts or sign new riders. Am I missing something?

It's a gamebreaking bug when you resigned with your current sponsor. Your budget will plummet, causing you with 0 budget left and unable to sign anyone at all.

It´s a nightmare. I am at $-1500 with my Team Radnet Oßwald and now got stuck in my career. Can´t sign new riders nor re-sign contracts with my lads. I can only sign talents...

ALL my contracts with my current riders will expire end of the season...
I wonder what happen if I end this season and have no rider for the next season lol.

That was there in 2020 or something. I've just assumed that was a rule "don't have negative money if you want to start a new contract". I actually liked it, made it challenging

Great challenge if anything in the game would give you a hint that this will happen. It's not a realistic consequence. Takes you 20 hours of game time to reach that point

Oh don't get me wrong, I was pissed and it took me one more season to get to Conti Pro, but it makes sense that you have to look after your finances if you want to hire someone, doesn't it?

I don´t think that you understand the full issue,

if my sponsor allows $800.000 for next season (2025) and let´s pretend I am $25.000 in dept.
I should have $775.000 for the new season as rider budget.

In my case, ALL contracts expire end of 2024.
With that beeing said, I have 0 rider for next season.
I can neither re-sign my current riders nor I can sign other riders.

So, 2025 I have to start with 0 Riders??? What about the $775.000???
They sitting in the bank account then for nothing? This does not make any sense.

That´s 100% a bug...

I will simulate the next months in the coming days and see what happens then.
I can only imagine that I can sign from 1st January 2025 Riders who did NOT find any contract and are still on market...

Ok, that explains it. You are right I did not understand.

I can tell you how to do to do a workaround if you want. It won't fix the bug, so make sure you report it, but at least you can continue with the save.
