Tutorial on how to play with keyboard and mouse.

Since the developers were too lazy to include support for native controls, rest assured that we who are loyal to this platform always find a way.

For this to work we're going to be using the keyboard splitter program that virtually emulate the XBOX 360 controller.

Step 1.

Extract the files to a folder and Run the keyboardsplitter.exe and after installing click 'yes' to install the required driver and reboot your machine.

Step 2.

run the exe again and a program should now appear after a few seconds, under slots count select 1.

Below that is a dropdown box for keyboard and mouse. Click the three dots on the right next to that to detect your input (don't skip this) click a key to register your keyboard and now click the three dots next to the mouse dropdown, check the box for mouse movement and move you mouse to register the input.

I'm using Keyboard_02 and mouse_01 in my case, this might differ depending on your keyboard and mouse.

Step 3.

Under preset either use the default one where the keys are preselected for you or type in a profile name and all the keys will now have to bound from your choosing.

I highly recommend that you are in the game so that you see which keys are used for what when you bind them, makes things easier of course.

Step 4.

After you're done setting up the keys like you want them, we have to add the game path to the program, click the games category on the top bar and add/edit, browse the path to your game's executable and make sure keyboard and mouse is not set to be blocked, it should look something like this:

Step 5.

After setting that up there will now be a play category under the 'games' dropdown menu, click play > Tour De France 2024 and click 'yes' to active the virtual controller afterwards.

Troubleshooting

If the controls are not responding you've most like chosen the wrong input, so try Keyboard_01 or 2.

Works fine for me but then again i'm a keyboard warrior so it's very easy for me to get used to. You have every option available to you that's on a controller besides the movement of the thumbs so perhaps you're not using the right combination when turning.

I just slightly press the brake and turn, i'm in the yellow shirt so i must be doing something right.

I could buy a controller, but i've been using them since the ps1 and i just don't like them, that's why i'm on PC, i shouldn't have to use them.
