Early Access is for Windows only at this moment, I do wish they would do OpenGL instead of D3D11.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I guess I'll stick with the GOG version of the original game for now :P
You must be using Linux then, because I would describe MacOS as 'oppressive'. Of course, I don't agree that Windows is pathetic, but what do I know, I just work with computers for a living.
I use both, and I will agree with you that Apple is getting a bit overbearing since Lion launched.
That said, Windows is pathetic, and if "work[ing] with computers" is grounds for making that call then I'm fully qualified to do so. Windows' only draw is software that was developed exclusively for Windows (largely due to market share), period. Once mainstream games launch same day on non-DirectX platforms, and programs like Office, AutoCad and SolidWorks are on OS X/Linux and are 100% on par with their Windows versions then I think we'll see an even greater decline in Windows usage than we did when Windows 8 launched.
Some programs that are already cross-platfrom, such as PhotoShop, work better on non-Windows operating systems simply due to being on a more stable and logical foundation.
