Great! If your source is valid.
Buut yeah. Don't know about G4 remake, wouldn't make much sense since the game is not that old. However Gothic 1,2,3 remake would be awsome. Although considering how PB is small-ish studio I doubt that will happen.
because Gothic is end and it's plot connected to Risen.
God forsaked the world and humanity is risen again and what's next?
maybe struggle between human?
Anyway, while Piranha Bytes have regained the rights to the Gothic series, they might still continue Risen. The Gothic franchise lost a lot of prestige after the release of Gothic 3. And Gothic 4 might have been the final nail in the coffin (then again... most fans of the old series know that the fourth one was made by a different company; if PB would make a new Gothic game it could still sell very well).
In the end, it's probably up to their publisher.
At Gothic 3, there are three choices: Innos, Beliar or let them forsake world.
at Gothi..eh... Arcania, they choosed Innos ending.
that's the reason why Nameless hero was king in Arcania.
but at Risen, at the very first part of game, they refer G3's Xardas' ending: the mage who want to make human free make gods forsked the world.
so PB forsaked Goth.. Arcania.
so, I don't think there would be Gothic 5.
but I'm sure they will continue Gothic+Risen saga with new franchise or with old franchise.
but there might be one part or lore that can be good motivate for Gothic 5: last king and inquisition.
Forsaken god? they didn't understand meaning of returning of NH and Xardas.
it's meaningless trash.
Not totally a bad game too
This is not correct. 'Arcania: A Gothic Tale' was a working title that never became official. On release, the game was called 'Arcania: Gothic 4'. Plenty of proof:

This is correct. As PB regained the rights to the Gothic name, Arcania had to drop the 'Gothic 4' from the original title. The result is indeed:
