How OP is magic?

I finally bought R3 last night in a sale, so I'm taking a break from TW3 to play this. My question is, which class is the best if you wanted to be OP? Muskets in R2 were OP and super fun to use, so I'm hoping there's an equivalent in R3

Magic is pretty OP in my opinion. Once you get some spells and get your glove skills upgraded it's pretty easy to kill most mobs without too much of a hassle or fun.

Honestly it gets pretty boring real fast pnce you get too strong though. I'd suggest going melee/spells instead of the glove. That's what I resorted to halfway through the game.
The effects are nice and all but there really isn't much to the magic gloves besides spamming attacks left and right.

Like the above poster stated. Magic can be very OP the higher levels you get in magic. Almost to the point of being completely insane. Think 1 hit kills and you'd be pretty much right on track.

Thanks! I'm currently trying to hook up with those mages in the thunder isle but damn... this game is hard as hell when playing melee! I miss quen LOL
