What should I level with glory?

I've spent 18 hours in this game and haven't used any glory yet, the only thing I've unlocked is craft spells because it was necessary for one of the voodoo quests.

edit: I'm playing as a voodoo pirate and would like to use offensive magic.

18 hours and you haven't leveled but 1 thing? Well, depending on what style your're playing I'd start unlocking everything in your style of play. It really opens up a lot more when you're doing that.

Strength! later if you get it to 100 you can get "trained" and learn to re-gen your health!

Level everything to 50 that you like (everything but closecombat or guns) because with potion brewing you will be able to max everything to 100-105.
There are like 10 plants of every type giving you +5 for drinking them. You surely won't be able to find all of them but if you collect alot you will find like 8-9 of each.
When you level your first things (i always do the thief/social-stuff first) you may skill them up to 60 but don't go higher (useful for sword dancer - after u have this skill, sword fighting will become chilly).
You should have enough plants after u have cleaned all islands once.
Don't eat them/drink the potions before 50 - the needed glory depends on you actual skill level so will b incredibly high at 90 for example

Thanks for the replies. I decided to load an earlier save and join the Demon Hunters for the spells although all the factions seems pretty cool. :)
