Risen 3 is still about pirates?
I really enjoyed Risen 1 it was a great game, but i dislike Risen 2 because of pirate setting, How about Risen 3? Is still all about pirates or it more close to Risen 1?

Pretty much a split right down the middle between the two in most every way.

Why don't you like the pirate theme? is rather refreshing considering most rpgs happen in some kind of "Medieval fantasy Europe" the game still has armor and helmets and swords, it just happens in a tropical island setting instead, which i find very refreshing in comparison to the all gray palette of Skyrim's "frozen north".

I mean you can dislike it off course, who am i to judge but if you give it a chance you might like it, in the very first island you explore some aztec-like ruins, it was rather interesting.

If you want Gothic feeling, you play demon hunters.
If you want Risen feeling, you play guardians.
If you want Risen2 feeling, you play vodoo-pirate.

There are three factions you can join, each having completly different quests. voodoo pirates are one of them. The story also starts with you being a pirate but all in all this aspect is pretty much non-existant if you join ether the guardians or the demon hunters.

I have to agree here.

You do play a character that is decended from a "famous" pirate and your first companion is a tavern ♥♥♥♥♥ who is also your sister but once you get a little into the game the focus is off the pirate theme.
One of the things, which i hate about the critism to the Pirate-Setting. Some People complain that they can`t see the Pirate Setting anymore, because to much Pirate Games out there. But to be real, i`m a huge Pirate Fan and we hadn`t that much great Pirate Games. If you like Anime, you get One Piece, yeah - but other than that we only had Monkey Island, BlackFlag and Sid Meyers Pirates which were great Pirate Games(and now risen of course). Other than that we have NOTHING... if you compare to Fantasy Setting with Orcs etc - you have very little Pirate Games - and most of them are trash(besides the Examples which i brought) ...
