Patty Bug - Getting Patty after big ship

I had this bug and found a solution at another forum.

If you recruited Patty before Chapter 3, she will get on your boat but will not leave the island of Kila. And once you get a big ship, she will stuck at where your little boat was. She will float on air so you cannot talk to her.

Solution : You can see Patty standing on air as if she is still standing on little boat. Turn into a parrot (you don't have to chose to become a Vodoo Pirate, just use a scroll), and fly towards Patty. While you're above her turn into human. Then you will be standing on her head. You can talk to her in that position and say "Hey, I've got a ship on shore" and she will join you.

If somebody could pin this, it would be great. Only solution other than this is loading an old save and making sure Patty stays on beach. And doing all the things you already done once again.

Never had that happen to me hmmm.
If you meet her and take her to the beach by the Pirates...split up.....then go on your way, she will be standing right there when you get you big ship.

Thanks a BUNCH! I just completed this game from my backlog and just didn't know what to do with Patty hovering in the air over Kila bay. Unfortunately, I found this late, so her quests came a bit out of order and cramped at the end.
