But to proper aswer it, its probably because this company never really cared about the console port (see their previous console releases).
Ya Risen one was not what I would call a good port but I did not here to much hate towards the 2 game.
That being said I dont have alot of space left on my harddrive so I would much rather put it on my hardly ever used ps4.
But I Guess I dont have much of a choice. Atleast its not another fall release.
The reason there are no current gen versions is because Deep Silver never ordered any. A member of Piranha Bytes metioned that on the fan forums.
DS probably figured that porting the engine wouldn't be worth it, since the Piranha Bytes fanbase consists mostly of PC players.
The engine already supports PS3 and XB360 (since Risen 2), that's why they release Risen 3 for those, too.
I assume that the next Piranha Bytes game will probably be on XB1 and PS4.
