What is your best melee weapon and where did you find it?

This is the best one i've found so far. It's broken in 2 pieces, u must find them and reforge it.

They're both on Calador, and one of them is through the lava stream (must do some dark warriors missions to be able to go through it).

PS2: The game starts too difficulty, but ends up being really fun after you develop your character :D.

at chapter 2, I found Knee breaker but I forget where I get it. (30-80 slashing+5)
you can get skull crasher? or skull breaker(30-80 sword+10) at a cave in Tranis

That one is okay. You'll find a better one by blacksmithing a weapon sold by the pirates on the Beach on Kila. Slashing weapon that reaches...120? Will check.

Taranis in the north east mountains, I think a parrotspell is required to get there.

105 is the top that weapon gets, sorry. Best place to find good weapons is in the tavern on Antigua. Behind the bar you'll find the weapon you used during the tutorial (100 lockpick), or upstairs (110) which gives you

Scavenger Beak 40-100 slash+5. I think it was in a chest at the Guardian's base in Tanaris.
Bone Grinder 30-80 slash+10. A fellow Demon Hunter asked me to retrieve this weapon in a cave in Tanaris.

The Captain's Sabre is just as good as the Kraken Eye (if not better, I can't tell what the Slashing weapon +10 bonus exactly mean, but I suppose it is stronger because of that aspect even though it has 5 less damage)... I remember buying the first part and upgrading it right after. I think it was the blacksmith Gordon on Taranis which I bought it from.

So far, I found a War Hammer from Fog Island. I then forged it to become a Spirit Hammer. I think 45-90/5 dmg if I'm not mistaken.

indeed the best weapon i've found so far is the Captain Sabre, bought from the pirates on kila (while in act 3, dunno if that makes a difference), and upgraded easily (requires rum..).

Well this is a let down... Man I was really hoping to see some awesome weapons in the game... But looks like I already have just about the best weapon as my sword goes to 70 dps.... I guess I can look forward to getting a slightly different sword design with a slightly better damage output... Hooray?

I find that I doin't really care about the damage as long as it's close to 80 or so....The Oath sword is fantastic looking with it's aura.
