I'm the one who with AJ's opinion. Meele combat is boring, considering you've got only one type of meele weapon, and most enemies can be split in 2 groups - "can block" or "can't block". So far as I can tell, it comes to cleaving your enemies to death, combining normal and power attacks and doing that fancy rolls (coming with immunity frames directly from ds) from time to time, which is easy due to slow attack speed. Still no big changes for ranged, need to get my hands on magic.
Also, game feels extremely easy, I cleaned whole Taranis with *merely* leveled character with roughly 50k exp in my pocket. On hard, yes. I blame combat system for this.
And yes, this is action-rpg.
And no, you do not have to buy game to play it.

Talking about combat, than TES worth?(it's FPS-RPG and it's bad as a FPS)
how about Fallout? Fallout 3 and NV are also a FPS-RPG but both are poor FPS.
judging an RPG worthless just because combat is bad is meaningless.
