Report a translation problem
Antigua thats right I forgot, you have to talk to Alvarez to join ANY FACTION in the game because the faction leader will mention wanting to hear his opinion before letting ya join. Scratch the top response from me.
join the fire nation
I like Risen 3 but I find the game is very frustrating in places (and not by design).
Some quests can leave you high and dry - unsure of how to continue.
My biggest issues were with joining the spell casters and Erasmus's reactor/monoliths quest.
Hope this helps...
To join collective: Visit Admiral Alvarez in Harbor Town on Antigua
Clear ALL the Hell hounds (Eastern, Warehouse, Outside, Blood Oath)
He tells you that there are three "collectives" from which to seek power/help
To join the Guardians/Spell casters : Go to the island of Taranis and speak to General Magnus
You have to COMPLETE the "Swearing in ceremony" / "the Mine Report" quest
Reporting that you have visited the mines is NOT enough!
You must visit the mines AND complete all 4 quests (Destroyed, Camp, New, Good) until Magnus tells you that you can join the collective.
My problem was that Magnus gives no indication of what more there is to do until you have reported back the 4 times.
(I spent hours completing other quests until I realized I had not actually completed the mine quests)
Erasmus and the ****ing Reactor/Monoliths quest and getting to see Zacharias
Once you get all the Monoliths working, Erasmus says “Good work, now I have to think on the equations for a bit. Come back later.”
No matter what you do you cannot progress until much later in the game so ignore him for now. ***
In addition, when you do join the Guardians as a Cadet, Erasmus does not even speak about the reactor until later (immediately after the start of Chapter 3) . (you CANNOT get through the gate to speak with Zacharias until then).
Other details you can hopefully find by Googling.
P.S. *** I ended up knocking Erasmus unconscious a few times and jumping up and down on his head - That helped!
try tracing them using map they will put an X to it
- Hadn't spoken to Vladmir in the mines to complete the quest (Taranis)
- Hadn't explored the mines in the middle of the island (Taranis)
- Hadn't spoken to Alverez after all the hellhounds (Antigua)
