DH is actually INSANELY awesome if you still want to be a combat type of mage. You agility buff yourself and you have insane attack speed with the gauntlet throwing magic.

I actually plan on going the Demon Hunters route since they are crossbow based...and Eldric leads them.

Now I'm wondering, since mages are supposedly to be the magic strongest factions, to they have any advantages? I know they have some exclusive perks that let them cast faster and they have different elements they can cast, is that correct?

alsi Id like to know more about other magic spells. like rust. as a guardian, can I turn it into a permanent spell that doesnt get consumed? and what about other factions, as a guardian, can I lrean to create consumable demon hunter runes? I would like to know how you can create all this.

Yes, Rust is a resuable spell with just a small cooldown. They also have access to fire, frost, and lightning attack spells as well as others. About the runes, I don't know. I haven't found a way to craft them yet but I have found a couple. I also don't know if I can even use them though either.

I've read that if you choose DH they shave your characters head? That true? When I joined Guardians they gave me a crystal eye patch.

did you have to create the rust spell from scrolls somehow or do you buy it? is it a crystal or how does this work?

yes, demon hunters shave your head. I dont know what voodoo people do to you.

No I haven't been to Caldera yet. I bought it from one of the mages, it's just a spell you get not an item. You drop it into your hotbar and use it from there. It's ability to unlock things is equal to your magic level. So if your magic level is 60 you can unlock chests with a difficulty of 60 or lower.

another question about rust: is it "loud" meaning does it alert NPCs if you use it in their homes for instance.

can you say something about spell crafting, can I learn to craft guardian scrolls as a demon hunter? or craft runes as a guardian?

do you know where you bought it? I cant find a mage who teaches the rust spell, only rust scrolls.

Yes, they have 3 different elemental melee spells and it does come in handy at times since some enemies do have immunities to certain elements. They also have perks that allow them to attack faster and that reduce their spells' cooldown.

since you are 20 hours in, have you found a way to learn the rust spell? or do you have only the scrolls of it?
