Don't eat the stat flowers at the start

If you eat the perm increase flowers/plants before you finish the tutorial with patty you lose the increases at the end.

Ideally you dont want to eat them at all as you can use them later to make potions that increase your stats more.

Eating them gives you +2/+3 (i cant remember for sure) to a stat, making the potion gives you +5 per plant.

I'm struggling at the game..and im like 7 hours in...I have like no new weapons and the best armor is already given at the start.. Adventure armor pretty much tops all of them.

Don't drink the potions until you have raised the attribute as far as you plan to! I just noticed when I drank a permanent toughness potion that my toughness went from 10 to 15 (which I expected) BUT the cost to raise from 15 to 20 was 1000 glory, not 500 glory.

So, the potion saves you 500 glory only if you drink it first. If you raise the stat first and then drink the potion it is worth a lot more than that.

Thank you for confirming this. I remembered this from Risen 1, so even though I haven't found a single recipe in R3, I was holding off on eating any of these. Glad I did! Now to search for recipes...

Eh. I didn't bother trying to max and just ate them all after I realized I was a facestomping monster after the first island.
