Alternate language not installed?

I wanted to see how the German voice audio was, but I don't see it anywhere in the menu options.

If you go to C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Risen 3\data\ini\ConfigDefault.xml you'll see a section with the following:

<Language VoiceLanguage="English" SubtitleLanguage="English" ForceSubtitles="true" CompleteLocTable="false">

Changing the voice language will disable the voices and break dialogue. Changing the subtitles will work. This leads me to believe that something's borked or the install did not add in other audio options. Anyone have any ideas?

You have to right click the game, go to the language tab and change it to German in order for the game to download the language files.

I verified that changing it to German in the language options on steam, then changing the SubtitleLanguage to English does work.

The only drawback is that you can't switch back and forth without it redownloading the appropriate language pack, which is 1.8gb or so in size.

Could you please explain detailed? I downloaded the game also from steam and its German. How will i change it to English? : / what is the meaning of "right click the game"?

Right-click the game in the Steam client and choose Properties. Go to the Language tab and choose the language you want. The game will now download additional files for that language.

This works for most multilingual games on Steam (some have the language in the launcher or in-game options).
