Can you live with mostly innocent blood on your hands?
I got the sneaking skill so no innocent bloodshed
Are the protagonists of the risen games the same person?
To answer this question, no, they're not. Risen and Risen 2 have the same protagonist, but the protagonist of Risen 3 is a totally different guy.
Risen 1 - random guy who becomes the titan-slayer and helps Steelbeard's daughter Patty with her personal agenda.
Risen 2 - the same guy, now without an eye he lost when they (I think the Inquisition) removed his Ocular that enabled him to see titans. Inherited Steelbeard's ship and captaincy and now is pretty much all sexual innuendo with Patty.
Risen 3 - The aforementioned Patty's little brother. The former hero is nowhere to be seen and mentioned very sporadically (think only by Jaffar).
Actually, the hero from the first two games does make an appearance in the third game. He's sitting by a campfire in Calador's eastern section. Granted, the encounter is optional and takes the form of a conversation, but he is there.
They might also have taken that path as a way to make the setting and lore less confusing to gamers for whom Risen 3 was their first game in the series. New character, new POV, and no shame in needing to ask the NPCs for an explantation of what's going on.
Because joining guardians with one-eyed titan slayer would leave you with an eyepatch on your right eye and an ocular on your left bringing all the girls to your yard.
