DLC = New Game?
Hi,

I just completed Risen 2 and wanted to take a break before playing Risen 3 while waiting for the Summer Sale to get the DLC's. Now, do i have to start a new game after buying the DLC's or is the save going to "update" itself? Because if i don't need to do that i'll start playing right now.

I'm not sure if you're speaking the DLCs for Risen 2 or Risen 3.
But for both games the DLCs consist of two little islands and can be visited when you have the proper DLCs.
I think it will just update your game once you'll have bought them.

In Risen 2 it adds some characters on regular islands which will grant you access to the islands. You'll just need a savegame before the Water Temple as you can't travel anymore after that.

For Risen 3 you have access to them since the beginning of the game. You just have to select it when set sail on your sloop/ship.
I haven't finished Risen 3 yet so I can't tell you if you can sail to any island after the end of the game but I guess it will like in the previous games.

I'm not talking about any new DLC's.. I don't have Fog Island and Uprising of the Little Guys, that's why i'm asking if a new game is required to apply them to my playthrough or can i use my old save.

I'm pretty sure that you can still use your current save. Just be sure to talk to Bones in order to start the DLCs.

if you have the dlcs i think you get at the start of the game a armor set as soon as you leave the first iland, i dont know if you can get it in an old save game to.
