But yeah it’s a bit odd.
Also imo, removing iconic moves is not the way to make characters look different. Giving them new moves is the way. Just like Ryu and Ken got new moves in all those years while they still keep their iconic Hadouken, Shoryu and Tatsu.
Terry had a lot of moves added and removed during the series' lifetime (remember Power charge or Fire kick?) thus it may not be as egregious as, say, removing the shoryuken from the SF shotos.
Also MotW introduced the Buster Wolf, thus he really traded one iconic move for another moving forward.
If you played this game you would realize Terrys playstyle is the same as other games.
rising taco or power dunk, his reversal option changes depending on the game as others stated, but his playstyle and win conditions remain the same
It's kinda cool when you play a lot of SNK games that when a new game is announced you can speculate on which characters come back and which moves they're going to have
