Fact no-one's below C tier is nice. Core mechanics really prop-up weaknesses!

Yeah, Hotaru Kain and Hokutomaru are the common consensus for the top tiers, at least for now. You can probably make a case for Terry being a tier right below them, and then everyone else a tier below him, at least in my probably ignorant opinion. The game actually seems really balanced among everyone but the top three characters, but who knows? As players get better at using the system mechanics maybe the top tiers won't seem as strong as we thought they were.

Imagine thinking Rooflemonger, a cheesy content creator, knows the first thing about the game to be in any position to come up with a valid tier list this early on.

Any tier list coming from a non-pro player should be taken with a massive grain of salt.

My character seems universally agreed to be lowest tier - don’t care anyways, still eating with it and even managed 16-18 win streak yesterday..

The problem with making a tier list now is that no one knows the proper defense options in the matchups yet. I think Mai is going to end up being much higher in the tier list because of her neutral control as well as what she's capable of in the air.

I haven't tested it myself but if she can zero-frame in the air then idk what people would be able to do against that other than hope the Mai player doesn't have the execution skills.
