True. However, this is just another attempt to make everything about politics. As if the Saudi King or some radical islamic clerics have put up the money. Even then, I would not give a crap but we are talking some independent business men who have a passion for the game series.

Woe unto the soul that tries to get people to be conscientious consumers. I'm not a fan of theocracies and absolute monarchy almost completely disappeared in 1890s-1910s for a reason, but at least Saudis didn't start two world wars with total number of casualties close to the entire population of modern UK, they didn't start a multitude of post-WW2 conflicts with several millions people killed.

A simple fact - the only region where peace lasted for more than 50 years was Europe from 1945 to 1999. For the first time in the recorded history.

All because two factors - mutually assured destruction and because there were people in power who remembered WW2 very well. As soon as people who were born in 60s or later came to power everything went downhill.

P.S. more people died in the drunk knife fights in the last 80 years than in all wars since 18th century. Says a lot about how ruthless humans are and car accident casualty numbers definitely confirm that human stupidity is indeed the most common element in the universe.

And yet you ate some too. All people do, hard to blame.

Electronics manufacturing in China is cheap because of two main reasons - China sits on THE largest rare earth element deposit in the world and logistics is super cheap. Large manufacturers in China have huge assembly lines and robots just like everyone else.

Imagine soldering a modern smartphone motherboard manually? How long will it take? 17 hours if you're a pro, a couple of days if you just can do it. And how long your eyesight will last from staring into a microscope for hours and hours? Replacing a GPU in a laptop 20 years ago was already a huge PITA and things got much smaller now.

Asian corporate work culture though is another story. China, Japan, Korea - you you're young and want money - get ready to overwork every day for the next 15 years. Amazon takes a special prize too.

But as someone mentioned above - fashion industry is worse than all the others. Companies charge thousands just for a brand name, when those poor women work for 15-18 hours in the conditions where work safety don't exist and make less in a month than i do in 3-5 hours.

And when it comes to knock-off or off-brand clothes - they can be made by illegal migrants in some abandoned building those people - are basically slaves with their documents and phones taken away, so they basically work for food and live in such condtions that make a prison to look like a paradise by comparison. And that's not tied to some specific country - search the news in any big country and you'll find some story about police shutting down some illegal basement factory a few times a year.

All that makes me doubt that humans can build an utopia like in Star Trek TNG just 200 years later. 2000 years maybe, 200 or less - don't think so.

I don't agree with certain decisions SNK had made either, but I think COTW is a fun game for what it is.

Not really, Saudi literally owns more than 50% of SNK's shares means they own the company. After it was bought, China pulled out King of Fighters:All Stars and mobile games, even several Anime and 3D animated KOF shows. It was better under China, Saudi Arabia killed it.
