I mean, the latest MK just got the terminator 2 (T-1000).
A lot, and i do mean A LOT of the brutalities and fatalities from that game would not really be lethal do that character. He (or it)e is really tough to kill.
Pointless and brainless fun, but it makes no sense if we try to think about it. In one of the moves, he is even shown to have a spirit.
Capcom is the only one that is capable of bringing us guests who feel like they belong. Until now. Hopefully it remains that way until the end of SF6.
Everything else is a clown show.
Yes, SNK was very careful with Samurai Shodown. All extra characters feel integral to the game, and not shoehorn. In style, visual, story and gameplay. There is no friction, no dissonance whatsoever. It is really smooth.
Nah Koei Tecmo is, Mai and the Virtua Fighter characters feels like they belong on Dead Or Alive, Mai doesn't feel like she belong on Street Fighter lmao...
Maybe you just didn’t see him
The simpsons is full of celebrity cameos, why is it okay for fictional television shows to bring in real life personalities but when a game does it, everyone gets upset
Because these Simpson cameos are more often than not dispensable and tend to age poorly, especially when these real people become controversial as time passes (remember that Musk episode)?
Because slots are limited in any fighting game and players would rather see these slots being filled with fan-favorites or new characters that people do actually appreciate, like Preecha.
Because fighting game characters aren't just functions, but are also coming with themes, backgrounds or simply visuals that resonate with the player base. That's why so many FG characters have passed the test of time and have become iconic, while others are just forgotten.
Guess in which category these two guests are falling?
Honestly, Preecha and Vox do nothing for me, Vox is especially bland. I could easily call both of them wasted slots and make a big deal about how those slots could have been used for older characters to return instead.
Anyone can claim a slot is wasted, if that character is not to their liking.
But the World doesn't revolve around me and I accept just because I don't care for Preecha or Vox, doesn't mean everyone out there doesn't like them
And speaking of 'iconic characters', What iconic characters does Fatal Fury have outside of Terry and Mai? None really, it's an IP that's been dormant for 26 years, most people don't know who the hell most the old fatal fury characters are, especially younger people
You think everyone who might buy this was even alive when the last fatal fury game came out? This is an archaic IP but unlike street fighter, this one has been deeply irrelevant for a long long time
Ronaldo at least put eyes on the product, you think bringing back someone like 'freeman' would do the same? lol, no
> Stallone with a bandana, a random guy in a cop suit, etc.
Meh, the nostalgia... what have you done ah ah
