"Modern"-apologist Streamer "Max" now denying Fatal Fury issues as well

Do you think Streamers are healthy for video game and especially this niche genre?

We have Max - who sadly is worshiped by man here - being an M-apologist. But now people are feeling more disappointed in him because he is ignoring unhealthy practices like turning fighting games into Prince's Personal MUGEN (addition of Christian RAPISTino some DJ Nobody).

What do you guys think, are they all shills after all?

(Reminder no personal attacks, I only used "Max" as an example because he is most popular streamer or so it seems).

Streamers live off likes and donations. You can expect he and many "change of mind" if the money river stops. Also, they can "sacrifice" sponsorship from Publishers if is what most of their "viewers" want. Twitch money is bigger than any sponsor.

I remember when he said "free to play" fighting games were "the future" (back when Multiverse released). That video got tons of dislike and be toned down his enthusiasm. Turned out people were right about it was a bad idea because predatory practices (DLC practices are on the fence nowadays).

About this game I get why they want Ronaldo as character, he is "viral", but IMO SNK is doing so bad with this game for many other reasons.

I don’t watch streamers but yes I do think that they unintentionally ruin video games. Same goes for min-maxers in multiplayer games but they intentionally ruin games to suit their play style.

Yes streamers and influencers in general are a complete net negative for society just look how much they have damaged actually important stuff like political discussions

I don't know him (or any other streamers for that matter) because the whole practice of watching streamers is complete nonsense for me.

Especially sponsored streamers - isn't watching them basically like watching an advertisement?

Who the hell voluntarily wants to watch advertisements? I do everything in my power to adblock everything, meanwhile people out there are spending their time watching ads for hours because they want to?

I hate that I've became the type of person that talks down about "people these days", but I really think the generation that grew up with the modern internet is in a sorry state.

There isn't anything unintentional with them. They know exactly what they are doing but the community and subscribers have to start holding them accountable. Like why no one literally goes back and listens to or calls out all of the horrible pre-order hype of many failed games and then unsubs from the creators for manipulating money out of their subscribers is crazy to me.

See the content shills are rain makers. If it rains, then they get paid. If it doesn't rain, they get paid because everyone will continue to listen and follow them until that natural occurrence happens. So if they know the game is crap, it doesn't matter when everyone is clicking their views and watching all the hype. Then when it sucks, they can make a ton of content that is complaining about what is going wrong with the game as they distance themselves from the studio and all of their own roles that they played themselves in allowing garbage to continue to be rolled out with no reason for studios to stand by the consumer and increase standards.

Max is a cool dude. He promoted Killer Instinct when the weebs ignored it. He is doing a Virtua Fighter 5 tourney this weekend. The real question is why do you need Max to condemn COTW. I'm certainly not getting the game, but I don't need Max to tell me what to do.

Don't give a ♥♥♥♥ and don't see why anyone should. Content creators are, on average, all horrible people who are friends with similar horrible. They do almost nothing but lie for money and have no credibility in anything they're involved in.

Reminder: Max was friends with a known sex pest and stole content (FighterZ combos) from someone suffering from cancer. He is pos and no one should give him any respect, money or attention.
