SNK FIX YOUR MATCHMAKING!
I don't care about RPG mode i Dont care about Ronaldo i don't care about Crossover characters.
Only thing i care about in a Fighting game is being able to play against other people.
If you cant ensure i can actually play your game against other people online you are not getting my 60$ day one you are getting 10-15$ at best years later on sale.

I bought KOFXV day one and refunded it after all i manged to get was 2 matches in 1 hour on release day of a fighting game.
Matchmaking makes or breaks the game if you mess up the matchmaking again on full release then you are dooming your characters to forever be only known as SFVI crossover characters.

Do you understand the concept of a beta and player feedback?

They've had feedback for 3 years with KoF15. SNK will never fix matchmaking.

But KoF15's matchmaking has been fine for at least the last 6 months I've been playing it. Could be your region or that you're just parroting something you read somewhere. Even Samsho 2019 has solid netcode albeit a super small community.

Good for you.
People who bought the game day one had to wait over a year and a half to get functional matchmaking. And even after it was fixed it was to late the game was seamy dead because of it.

Maybe they will fix it by the time the full release comes but they don't exactly have a good track record.

So why are we comparing it to KoF15's release instead of its current state? This game is unreleased and is currently in it's testing phase. The entire point of this beta is testing the matchmaking and netcode. That's why there isn't any single player or practice.

This is the equivalent of going to a taste testing, not liking the food, but instead of telling the chef you just yell about how bad it tastes to anyone that passes by. It's a beta, it's not meant to work, if it did, it would be a demo.
gotta wait for release and see how it goes, these matchmaking and netcode are not good

Net-code is decent i had playable matches even vs people above 100 ping.
You have to remove the online game modes and focus on only 2 options so that you have many online fights in a row. You have to leave only the option to play Ranked Matches and the option to create a lobby for fights. Take Casual Match out of the game. And unify the North American/Central America and South America Servers. With the rooback netcode it is possible to play with up to 200 ping without problems.

So, you made this thread before actually sitting down and running sets? This was just a thread to complain about the XV release?

We must demand that the game works as it should.

Take Street Fighter 6 for example, it had an open beta, it had online mode, if I'm not mistaken 6 characters, it had versus mode

Everything worked, that's the very least we should demand rather than giving a game that's going to be released in two months' time the online is broken.

If they launch with the online like this “2 months is too little time to optimize”, the game will die very quickly.

Could it be because of the company's history of delivering bad netcode at launch?

Matchmaking and net-code are not the same thing.

Matchmaking is the how the game finds people for you to play against or how long you have to wait before you find a person to play whit in between matches.
Which is anywhere between 5 - 30 minutes right now.
On occasion i may find a match in less than 5 minutes and then after it is over i cant get another no matter how long i wait.

Net-code is how well the game plays once i actually manage to get in to a match.
And so far it works fine.
But at the end of the day what the point of a good net-code if i can barely even get to play the game because of bad matchmaking.

For comparison it takes less than 1 minute to find a match in T8 or SFVI hell even GGStrive.

SNK has never been good with implementing online gameplay, and I seriously doubt they have the skills or the tools to get it right this time either. People can hope, but my experience with this company has taught me not to hold my breath when it comes to them actually reviewing their player feedback.

SNK repeating SNK things.
What a shame.

EDIT
Apparently they have already released a statement acknowledging the issue. Now it only comes down to if you think they can actually get it fixed.

With the game due out in exactly two months?
I doubt they'll be able to make the online good.

I really hope they sort it out, I’m having a ton of fun with the game, but if it doesn’t fix match making it’s not going to have the legs it deserves.
