Windowed Mode [How To]
This should be pretty common knowledge by now, but I see a lot of topics asking how to run this game in windowed mode, so I figured I'd drop this here. As you've probably found out, -window, alt+enter, and so on don't work with this game, however there is a simple solution, you may have heard of it, it's called DXWnd.

All you have to do is grab the program here http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/ and install it. After that, simply run the program, then click the 'edit' tab. Once there click 'add' and navigate to the .exe using the '...' tab. Once that's done, simply double click on the newly added path, or click 'execute' and BAM, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes in windowed mode.

Hope this helps somebody!

EDIT!
After running through this with a couple of people, we have come to find out certain versions of Dxwnd may be the culprit in this not working. Make sure to download version 1.20 and use that.

An automatic DL can be found here ...

This doesn't work as described. Have you chosen any particular settings in dxwnd?

this would be great if it actually worked in the way that you said it would.

it does nothing but waste time.

Sorry it's not working for you, but, it DOES work for me, and was very easy to setup.

im not angry lol, i just find it slightly annoying that it doesnt work the exact way you described it. perhaps you forgot a few details or didnt go into enough detail entirely?

it appears to me you either A. have a vastly different version, or B. you changed your settings before this, because my DXWnd is a lot more complicated:

@Dirtbag

Sorry, but not really tbh, this was one of the easier setups for using Dxwnd. All I did was navigate to the .exe [steam/steamapps/common/legomarvel] using dxwnd, and then launched the game through Dxwnd. I guess the ONLY thing that might help, is that I changed the resolution in game beforehand to 1280x720. Other than that, I got nothin. =/

At your second response, WHOA, what version of Dxwnd is that!? That MAY be the issue.
Try DL'ing version 1.20, ... that MAY help? Good luck, and let me know if that works!

This is what I did:

I change my resolution in-game to 1600x900 for starters, then I opened DXWnd, edit, add, found the .exe with the '...' tab, and here's where I get stuck. I have no idea as to what options to use or not to use since it looks nothing like the program you have in the image. How did you even launch it from the program itself (without manually opening the exe).

I'm pretty sure you have a different version, there's a reason for the differences we have in the program.

Oh, just saw your last response, I'll try that.

It worked greatly, but the window's.. kinda small. How do I resize it?
KingFoom Dec 29, 2013 @ 11:37am
You should be able to alt+tab, and stretch out the borders.
Gorilla Dec 29, 2013 @ 11:40am
worked, thanks.
KingFoom Dec 29, 2013 @ 11:41am
No problem, glad it got sorted!
Also I've updated my original post to add the DL to version 1.20.
Thanks for helping to figure out what the issue was!

Using 1.20 but the game still kicks in fullscreen and invalid screen resolution (my initial issue).
