One Controller Two Characters

I booted up the game with a wired XBOX 360 controller pluged in. I got to the first mission and everything is fine until I hit Y and try to go between characters it suddenly activates both characters thinking theres two players but the single controller controls both characters. When I pause and drop out everything is fine but when I hit Y again it does it again. So I pluged in a second controller and tried doing everything all over again. It works fine if the second controller drops in but once it drops out and you hit Y again it just does it again. I'm calling bug but has anybody else experienced this?

I am having this exact issue. It is driving me insane. I am using a RumblePad 2. Later in the first mission, you get another character (three total) and Y successfully swaps between Hulk and the third character. Iron Man still does his own thing.

It has to be a controller bug, which is weird. Who the hell would play this game with a keyboard?

I don't want to patronize you but have you tried it with no other peripherals like joysticks plugged in, different ports, restarting the computer with the controller plugged in etc etc? Or just shutting the game off, replugging the controller and then trying again?

i bought the game, started it useing a wireless pc 360 controler. i can control hulk, cant switch to ironman and he dosnt do nothing but sit there. the keyboard dosnt utilize the mouse, which is a new kid mistake. henestly this enough to want myu money back and take the game back. no controller no point in playing.

Last night I tried once more. I changed the second players device to the keyboard and everything seemed to be okay except the player with the keyboard couldn't drop out. And yes MisterElm I did try a reboot /etc /etc, I might attempt again tonight if the ugly face of Calculus 3 does not give me any more homework.

Some how it's worse now. Now if I press A, X, Y, or B I get multiplayer with the game using the single controller as input. I then tried to change the devices for both players making one or the others device not mapped at all, didn't work. So then I tried unplugging the keyboard and mouse, didn't help. I have three different 360 controllers tried every single one, nothing. I updated my Windows 7 64 Bit and my 360 controller driver, didn't help either. I've tried other lego games, I have all of them, they work fine. The only idea I have left is to reinstall Windows, don't think it'll help and not going to do it now. So unless someone sends me source code and lets me debug it, I've got nothing. So for now I'm going back to my cozy Linux world where everything is warm and fuzzy in my little cabin in the woods, and yes that was a knock against the walled in gardens.

I am having the same issue. Control 1 guy and the moment i hit a face button i start controlling both characters (Hulk and Iron Man) and they both attack and both jump and do their thing when i press the button. I drop out and it works fine movement wise but once again the moment i hit some sort of action button its back to controlling both.

Just to mention I did get through the first level. I was hoping maybe it was just a bug in that level but no it appears to be game.

Has anyone found a fix for this its unplayable for me

I haven't found a fix but one thing I haven't tried yet is completely removing the game and re-downloading it. If anyone has the time and wants to try this let us know if it helps at all.

I have done that and it still remains 1 controller, 2 characters being controlled.

Same here. Using the Logitech Dual Action gamepad with x360ce (current version) on Windows 7.
