Restore previous save?

My son accidently erased our save file today. Is there any way to restore the game to a point before the save was deleted?

I've looked and cant find any of the cloud saves for that game.

next time go on to steam right when you get 100% and make a save data backup file I made that file and I copied the back up file to my wifi server so if my laptop breaks or my data gets erased I can back it up and restore it try that next time

Which save data backup file ?

When in your library, you right click on the game and choose 'Backup game files'.

Where is the save file for this game stored? I have looked for the folder that others have mentioned but it does not exist on my computer. Do I have to turn Steam cloud off for my save file to be stored on my system?

They have it well hidden.
Below is where Steam has kept my slot1 saved game...

I found mine in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\******\249130\remote\savedgames

Ensure you have 'show hidden files and folders' on.

I found the saves in that remote/savedgames folder. Unfortunately the save in there was from after the file got deleted. Oh well, looks like we wont be getting 100% in this game.

Found it. Thanks Snail! I was the reason I could not find it is because I was looking in the wrong drive. I have 2 Steam installation folders on my system, one on my SSD and one on a data drive. So when I could not find it before, it was because I was looking in the wrong drive. Whoops. Thanks for the help!
