No voices in cutscenes
Pretty annoying really, I know I can turn on subtitles but I shouldn't have to. During cutscenes I receive no voices, but the sound effects and music work fine. Its not a balancing issue, considering the game has no way to balance audio anyway. The voices work fine out of the cutscenes however. Anyone fixed this? I see no fixes at all on the internet anywhere. A few have mentioned it on these forums but had no response.

I had the same problem. Make sure that your computer's audio settings have at least one of your channels set to the center speaker. I found that I had no channels set to center, and when I changed that it fixed the issue.

I think its because I have a dedicated soundcard, whenever I try play the game through my headphones which are connected to my soundcard I run into this error, however when I plug in my TV and send audio via HDMI the in game audio is fine.

I had this problem in past with other games and movies. The cause was because creative didn't release dolby drivers for windows 7 for a sound card I paid way to much for. I'll never buy a creative product again because of it. Try switching to stereo mod instead of surround sound in the settings or on your speakers if you can.

I am actually having the issue on the XBone version of the game so its a bug, not your graphics card. Only Started happening at the start of the Latveria level and restarting doesn't make it go away.

It normally works for me except in free play when the voices are missing or ocaasinally when doing side quests. In my case it is not a sound card, because I switched subtitles on and they don't appear either, so it must be a bug in the game.

I've had this problem, for me it's just a glitch with my Logitch 7.1 surround headphones.
All I have to do is switch them to stereo, then back to 7.1 and voila, the voices are back.
So, I recommend, if you have a surround system, to switch it to stereo, then switch it back to surround.

I had this and discovered that my control panel sound card was set for 7.1, despite the fact that it's just two speakers. I changed it to 2 and the voices worked. If that doesn't work, then maybe there's a CFG or INI file to check somewhere?
I have the same problem. It irritates me a lot.
