Abomination Boss Battle

No matter what I do in the final fight (after the last search light has been activated) I can't win. Press "X" and "B" in an endless fight - nothing happens unless I get tired and lose. Every Youtube video shows this as an instant easy fight but I simply can't win. Spent 15 minutes fighting an endless "X" and "B" fight to give up restart the game - work my way to the end again and the same happens.

What am I missing?

In the Prison?
You only have to reach lights and turning them on with wolverine and fight the Abomination with Hulk... 3 times if I well remember. Then there's a cutscene with an helicopter crash...

You need to blind Abomination with the light first by using Wolverine to do that (for all three fights!). After Abomination is blinded you use Hulk to fight him by pressing X only (for the first 2 figths). For the third one you will have to start with X and end with B.
