I'm having this same issue. The second wave the gold plate gets stuck and I can't break it to use the piece underneath it. Is this the same place you are stuck at?

I am also having this problem. Amazing how many bugs are in this game. Wish these issues would get resolved.

What's the problem?

Not able to destroy the gold panel that is on top of the access control panel to lift the turbine blades. The debris on the gold panel does not fully go away. I have used all four characters and their abilities and also have let Galactis try and remove the debris with the blue round projectiles from his hand and also blue beams from his eyes. I have used Human Torch and Iron Man abilities to melt gold objects but neither seem to work, but like I said before not all of the debris is removed. I have also tried playing the mission in different settings for the game options for example 800x600 screen, all settings to low quality and so forth. I am starting to wonder if I will ever get passed this mission and unlock it's freeplay. Any suggestions on what I could do? This is so dam frustrating.

Restart the level? :P

I have the same issue with the gold block on the left not being able to be destroyed. I have restarted the level several times and it hasn't resolved it yet.

I have restarted the level and even restarted the game and neither work for me. But I guess I will try to keep restarting the level.

I've captured videos of all the story levels and will try to upload a shorter version of this level to Youtube for you to see, but this is how I did:
1. Used Abomination to smash bricks on the gold plate. It removed everything off it.
2. Used Human Torch to break the golden plate and the console appeared.

If you can't smash those bricks on the plate means that you need to adjust your effects settings and v-sync. I can't think of anything else here. I had no problems with this level on my desktop, but quite a few when playing on my laptop. Most problems on my gaming laptop were related to the graphic card and the settings. No problems on my desktop (nVidia GTX 760).

You can see the video here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=215020631.

having same problem this blows changed effects settings me and my friend were playing we did it but i screwed it up. They better fix it or i might never play the game again. What the heck is goin on?

Guys, this has been covered so many times in previous threads. It is unfortunate that the game's default settings do not match your graphic card/chip capabilities (especially if playing it on your laptops). You need to select Video settings in your game and change your video settings starting with V-sync and turn it on. I still can't understand how people can't find those options in the game menu just baffles me: pause the game->select Options->Video Settings->turn V-sync on. If this doesn't help try other options like resolution setting or changing Effects settings (i.e. tyruning them on/off to match your HW).

that video didnt help the derbis are still getting stuck in the gold pannel....

Guys, it is very hard to help you with this because we don't know your HW capabilities. I think that the problem is that your character is not in the right place although you see it otherwise. The problem is with graphics an dyour settings. Those settings must match your HW and display capability. In this case I would switch V-sync on and adjust depth of filed (you can do this with in-game menu), which is very likely what is causing the problem. I blame the developers for this, because they didn't bother to include within the game better HW recognition when they ported the game from consoles to PC.

OK, then...

What do you suggest I change in order to be able to get past the non-disappearing bricks as described above?

I've tweaked various things, and changed most of the above to 0 manually... still no luck.
