How do you replay levels with unlocked characters?

I don't see an option to do this. Do you have to beat the whole game first?

After you complete each level, it will be unlocked for Free Play - just click the icon on the map to get the options!

At what point can you access the map? I've tried the option at the beginning of levels and nothing happens.

You need to complete Level set in Oscorp building then when roaming round New York you can acccess them again OR find 1 of the devices that teleport you back onto the Helicarrier. If youstand on the target in centre of control room and activate it youhave list of old missions you can redo in Story or Freemode

Figured it out now, thanks. I hadn't completed Oscorp yet. The free roam around New York is very cool.
