Change character in mission?

I know that in pc if u hold the key for switch character you can change it but when i'm in a mission it doesn't work, it only switch between my current in mission characters. Pls help i can't take up all the minikit sets because you need different abilities to unlock them sometimes ty.

There is 2 mode : Story & Free

Story : you can only change between the characters currently present on the screen.
Free : you can take any character you want.

Every Lego games are like that, one playthrough for the story and one playthrough to unlock the characters, the redbrick and the minikits. But it is not that straightforward, you can unlock redbrick / characters / minikits in story mode if you have the right character right then.

Ok ty man, but for example if i need spider man with his web in a mission for a minikit and spiderman is not a default character of that mission how can i select them? Should i select them before the start of the mission?

If you're playing in free mode than you can. In story mode you can't.

u have to complete the level first then u redo it and do whatever u want
