I got a pro-question!

Hello,
I love the game and I got 100% complete.
But there's one thing that still bothers me.
In the bonus-level "The Brick Apple" (the one on Liberty-Island) there is one thing I don't get what to do.
If you shoot at the Daily Bugle Building and destroy enough, a "hook thing" appears (where for example Spiderman could hook onto).
I have no idea what to do about it.
Is there a way to use this or is there no use for it?

Please help, I'm desperate!

The second time you play it free play becomes available and you should be able to switch to spidey and pull down the hook for more studs.
