Lego Marvel Avengers fewer characters?

So I was browsing the list of characters for Lego Marvel Avengers and I'm a bit disappointed that all the X-men characters are missing. That means no Prof X, Phoenix, Dark Phoenix, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Iceman, Pyro, Storm, Cyclops, Magneto, Mystique etc.

This is extremely disappointing. I know this game is Avengers but they could've easily made this include those chars as well.

Just sucks but at least the game is gonna follow LMSH. Hopefully the changes are good and the game is as awesome as LMSH which was the best Lego game I've ever played.

The creators said at least 2x the ammount of characters. Maybe look it up next time

I preordered the game it looks very nice.^^ But i hope too that the X-Men comes back in a DLC and we have da night cycle.

I too hope the X-Men will be in a DLC, also.... Deadpool :) At this point, I'm thinking these games are mostly about the MCU (for movies) so that's a bit scary, but I guess we'll see. Either way, will get and enjoy it as the other LEGO games :)

lego avengers in centered around the mcu, there is no x men due to fox still owning the mcu version of x men, lego marvel superheroes however is based around the 616 universe

nope. even ignoring spiderman, the fantastic four, and the x-men the avengers and their surrounding things is still quite a lot.

those are not all characters, the game specific says there will be 100+ characters PLUS 40 from season pack

Shouldn't be a problem to include the classic comic, cartoon or other non live-action versions of these characters into the game.

Lego Marvel Avengers has 196 characters tokens you can collect, not include the characters in the story.
Season pass has more than 40 characters, civil war dlc have 9, ant-man 11, plus other dlcs like Avengers Explorer Character Pack and Thunderbolts Character DLC Pack etc

I think that total characters will more than 270

1:49 can see that there are 196 characters tokens, 150 minikits, 250 gold bricks, 15 red bricks and 35 stan lee

Hi, thanks, but the question isn't variations on the same chars, the question is will we have these either on release or at some point in future -

X-men chars
Fantastic Four Chars
Spiderman chars
etc.

I really don't care much for 20 varieties of Iron Man. I'd much rather have the additional chars than variations on the same char

I am not sure if it was said already but the focus of the game is 1st on the MCU and then the Avengers so many characters won't be making a return as said already due to the legal issue of licensed properties. That said it is highly possible that Spiderman will make an appearance to coinside with the Civil War movie. Miles Morales and Iron Spider are supposed to be in the game so it stands to reason that Spidey will turn up. The rest though like FF I kinda doubt.

Seeing as how Marvel is making no more mutants in comics, ended the FF comic, and is pushing the Inhumans etc instead, don't count on seeing any X-Men in anything Marvel/DIsney does until Marvel gets the rights back. This info is out there, Google it. Though I have mixed feelings about it, I have to hand it to Marvel for going all out... even at the expense of what fans might want... in order to devalue the rights that they don't own to try to get them back.
