How to get DualShock 4 to work
I noticed when I tried to get my DS4 controller to work with this game, whenever I would hit a face button the game would enable player 2 with all of the actions mapped to (no input). I was able to control player 1 just fine, but player 2 was stuck sitting in a corner and I had no way to drop out or anything. I found a couple other discussions on here mentioning this issue, but no solutions were given. After messing around with it for a while, i figured out how to do it, so I thought i'd post the solution here.

First off, I'm using the program DS4Windows. I'm not sure if other programs have similar options or anything, but DS4Windows can be found here:
http://ds4windows.com/

Make sure to run DS4Windows as administrator

After DS4Windows is up and running, go to the settings tab, and tick "Hide DS4 Controller". You may have to exit steam first.

Start up the game, and your controller should work. If it doesn't, on the title screen go to options>control config>change device

Have fun!

I use a PS4 controller fine, there are specific steps you need to take

1. Close any games your have open (connecting the controller while the games are open is a bad idea)
2. Open DS4 (mine works without administrator but you can run as admin if you want)
3. Plug in your controller
4. Edit the profile to emulate a 360 controller
5. Start up the game, making sure you don't touch the keyboard or mouse until you are in your game save

Unfortunately Lego games don't have native dual shock controller support so emulating a 360 is the next best thing, just don't get X mixed up with square, the game will show Xbox controls on screen but you will get used to it

Hi.
Sorry I know this post is old as hell but I'm having similar problems except I'm using the official ds4 USB adaptor. When I try to change to controller it asks to push a button on the device you wish to use. Nothing happens no matter which button I push on ds4.
