Spider Buggy Race bug - Unable to complete.

There is a particular race where you need a Spider Buggy to start. It starts at a garage under a building and then goes through a park and 2 narrow stairs. No matter how many times I complete it, it always stays on the map, and I can re-access it every time. It never gave me a gold block, instead it always gives me a purple coin.

I want to get 100% and so I restarted the whole game on a new save to see if it was a corrupted save issue. But the behavior is the same.

What could be causing this? Why didn't it get fixed at the New Game?

Ok, I just did some research and some races only give purple coins and stay on the map forever. This, combined with a GOLD BRICK being displayed on the timer while you race, threw me off. It's a poor game design and graphic design decision combined.

If it's one of those Spiderman DLC races, they don't count towards 100%, thus, no gold brick is awarded.
