For the other characters I used earth on Palmeena (give the highest magic boost). The other dragon girl got nothing cuz I never used her.
ps.: Val shadow + anyone on light is a pretty good combo for killing big groups instantly.
Controlling Morley manually
Basically I have Val and Careena as pure tank and support since Morley by himself is too OP with the wood's skills (one that renders all attack null)
Fire on Val. The elemental punch goes well with his attacks. Most passives I have equipped are from the Wind, Wood, and Water classes.
Moon on Morley. Entirely too good. Most passives are from Moon, Fire, and Wood.
Palameena has Wood so I can have someone with an AoE heal for hard content. Passives are from all over for her. She basically nukes entire parties.
I know its Not the best but i like it.
And i control Val.
Wind Val - Saber imbues plus strength when using them, also elemental shields. Those nullify damage. They are broken.
Light Careena - Group buffs, single target debuffs. Also adds attack while buffed. Barely had a spot in my party though.
Moon Morley - Seriously, he is so agile plus criticals? Main lead all game. Also learned both physical and magic shields. Just to add to Val's protections. Being lead also meant always slowing most mobs.
Water Palameena - With a side of earth to learn Ancient Curse and most lv3 spells. Trash mob crowd control and disposal with those area of effects and the vessel.
Dark Julei - Dark Curse. Also learned most support moves and gave him Nature Aura seed, even if Val also has it. And Dark elemental break is just cool to have on hand.
Fire Careena - Class Strike Nuke, keep her buffed and topped up on HP and Elemental Break ready to go for gigantic damage.
Moon Morley - EZ 100% Crit, general gorilla DPS.
Earth/Darkness Palameena - Magic Nuker not much to say.
Wood/Light Julei - General Support.
Fire Julei -> Healer
Water Palamena (controlled) -> Magic DPS
Works very well when Palamena has access to all elemental spells (there is almost always a weakness on monsters). I do want to try out some melee focused builds, e.g. Morley, soon, though.
Careena as Fire for easy SP generation or Wind for her party immune to both status and stat decrease.
Morley as Wind for his critical-rate party buff, Moon for his OP critical-focused build.
Palamena as Water for self-sustained (Water Flash racks up MP pretty fast and she regens half of MP usage post-battle) + faster cast time + good non-elemental end-game spell + also use Freeze (though she suffers damage reduction on enemies immune/resist Water, unlike Val just freezes them with physical attack). As Light if you control her to utilize Consecutive Cast seeds. Wood is an interesting build as you can instant cast them, but the animation is kinda slow.
Julei as Wind for party heal regen/summon attack, Light for powerful reduced-MP party heal+status removal, or Shadow for all-stat debuff (useless against superbosses, though) + passive mag.atk/mag.def debuff. Or Moon for powerful magic-build as long as enemy doesn't resist all elements.
Once you get to end-game, you can buy seed that let a character to copy the raw of another one, like giving Val the stat of Palamena. Combined with customized passives allowing some other interesting build, like:
-Ninja Morley with Palamena stat (Ninja moves benefits from magic stat).
-Summoner Careena with Palamena stat
-Tanky buffing Careena with Val stat
-Tanky healing Julei with Val stat
-Projectile throwing Val with Morley stat
-Melee-focused Palamena with Val/Morley stat.
Careena was Wind basically the whole game because Dancer's late-game passives are busted. Stuck her in Earth breifly against one boss, but swapped her back quick.
Val used Water because Careena took Wind, and eventually I left him in Wood. Second-best Saber magic class.
Palamena was a Problem. Best caster loadouts used either Moon, which Morely monopolized, or Light that was all Julei's. I ended up slapping Earth on her to give the woman a blanket. She looked cold in every other outfit.
Julei gets Light, because Light buffs healing and he's the best healer. Stick an ability seed that gives him an attack spell and he's good to go.
Careena - Moon (Early Game) / Light
Morley - Wood
Palamena - Wind
Julei - Moon (I haven't played with this guy)
I mostly play Val (Morley Wood for fun) and Careena is my staple support whilst the third slot is flex.
